  • Vans will help connect with students and families where they are

Chesterfield County Public Schools is on the go, connecting with students and families where they are! Get the details about our new Family and Community Engagement van and bookmobile.

Chesterfield County Public Schools on June 22 unveiled two vans designed to connect with students and families where they are:

    • The bookmobile van will promote reading in neighborhoods around Falling Creek Middle and Meadowbrook High. Lisa Signorelli of Falling Creek Middle and Kristin Thrower of Meadowbrook High are the book ladies who have been making a difference using their cars as bookmobiles to promote reading and help students create home libraries.
    • The Family and Community Engagement van is packed with everything schools need to connect with families in a fun, easy-to-access way. Shawn Smith, CCPS chief communications and community engagement officer, and the Family and Community Engagement team are the driving force behind the FACE van, which will not only bring the fun of popcorn and snow cones but will also bring wi-fi and Chromebooks to support families.
