    The Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce is launching a four-session program designed to provide a unique, Chesterfield-focused approach to developing a new generation of business and community leaders. Working in partnership with Floricane, a local strategic and organizational change business, the Chamber’s new leadership program is intended for emerging leaders interested in strengthening their leadership vision and effectiveness; deepening their understanding of and connections to the county; and building life-long relationships with a group of peers.

    Why is this important to your career and your employer?  Great leaders make productive associates and citizens.  The content of this program focuses on your professional development in the areas of:

    • Working as Part of a Team
    • Forward Thinking
    • Productivity
    • Collaboration
    • Decision Making
    • Strategy
    • Giving & Receiving Feedback
    • Community Stewardship
    • Recognition within the Community

     

    Eligibility: Rising business and community stars. The application process is open to any professional doing business and/or living in Chesterfield County.

    Participants will spend four sessions (9:00 am - 1:00 pm) over the course of Spring 2017 cultivating skills designed to improve their personal and professional effectiveness, and to strengthen their connections to the broader community. Each session will contain three areas of focus:

    • Community engagement & impact
    • Personal and leadership development
    • Relationship development

    Dates:
    Friday, March 10 - 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
    Friday, March 24 - 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
    Friday, April 7 -     9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
    Friday, April 28 -   9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. 
     
    In addition to the four sessions, an optional check-in/coaching session will be offered on Tuesday, March 28, and Thursday, March 30 at Floricane's offices in the Richmond Times Dispatch Building. There will be also be an optional CITIZEN Happy Hour on Thursday, April 6, from 5:30 until 7:00 p.m. Location TBD. 

    Fee:
    $189 per participant (includes program assessments, materials, InsightsⓇ Discovery evaluation, and four lunches)
