Washington Redskins President Bruce Allen adds "We are excited to participate again in the River City Golf Classic.   We always look forward to our stay in Richmond and this event is a great way to get the training camp season started. Our coaches and personnel appreciate the opportunity to relax with local fans and supporters before we roll up our sleeves and get down to business."

For the last several years, the tournament has signaled the kickoff of the Washington Redskins Training Camp engagement at Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center which is scheduled Thursday, July 25th through Sunday, August 11th, 2019.  The Washington Redskins season schedule and ticket information can be found here.

Up to thirty foursomes will play alongside representatives of the Washington Redskins organization including front office personnel, coaches and alumni players. The tournament will tee-off at 9:30 a.m. after a 7:30 – 9:00 a.m. check-in and buffet breakfast. Corporate foursomes can be secured for $1,500, which includes greens fees, cart, food, drinks, a golfer’s gift and hole sponsorship while regular foursomes are $1,000 each with same benefits minus the hole sponsorship.  For additional information about foursomes and a pay to play option which allows golfer’s to bid on specific Redskins representatives please visit http://www.RiverCityClassic.com/register.html

The tournament helps support year-round youth programs at the training facility through The Friends of Bon Secours Training Center, a 501(c)(3) organization which works through the Enrichmond foundation. Glenn Major, General Manager of the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center said, “It’s an honor to manage a state-of-the-art sports facility for our community and to work with the Washington Redskins. We enjoy hosting events of this nature which garner excitement and awareness of the many public events, youth programs and private functions which happen annually at the Bon Secours Washington Redskins Training Center.”
