    March 12, 2019
Recently, we have launched a new walking program called Walk With A Doc.  It is a community outreach program where doctors encourage patients and the community to change sedentary lifestyles and focus on their health.

The program runs every 2nd Wednesday from 6-7PM. We start off the hour with a short medical lecture(5-10mins) by a specialist followed by the remaining time having the doctors/patients/community just walk while the participants get a chance to interact with the doctors and ask questions pertaining to the specialists or primary care doctors practices. It is an opportunity for the hospital and doctors to do some community outreach and patients to have an excuse to get active and also gain some free medical knowledge.

In honor of Colon Cancer Awareness month, March is going to be focused on GI/Colon & Rectal as the specialty focus and Dr. Lyons, pictured below, will be the one speaking. Also, in attendance will be Dr. Paul Charron, a Colon/Rectal surgeon, Dr. Megan Shannon, a Urogynecologist, and Dr. Ryan Robertson, an Ortho surgeon.

This is a free program and anyone is welcome to attend! We do offer a chance to win some fun prizes, as well, because who doesn’t love to win fun giveaways!
