Stewart Moving & Storage Celebrates 20 Years of Service
Midlothian, VA, April 1, 2020 – Stewart Moving & Storage opened their doors for business on April 1, 2000.  Since that date, they have grown into a total of nine locations with offices ranging from Belcamp, MD to Jacksonville, FL.  They provide dependable relocation services, not only on the East Coast but also nationwide, as well as internationally.
Wes and Debbie Stewart, owners of Stewart Moving & Storage, started the business in hopes of building a family-owned and operated business.  With their combined nearly 20 years of service at the time, the dream of having their own business had become a reality.
Now, twenty years later, it has become bigger and better than Wes & Debbie ever imagined it would be.  Stewart Moving & Storage is poised and ready for the future by providing their employees, an extension of the Stewart family, with all the current tools they need for today’s consumers.  They continue to push toward the latest trends so they can stay on top and provide the most quality service possible.
It is all about the customers and how the Stewart family can help customers’ families with one of the most stressful times in their lives. The Stewart Moving & Storage move teams take the guesswork out for the customer and treat all customer’s belongings as if they are their own.  The company’s core values including truth, honesty, integrity, diligence, and training, can be seen in the quality of relocation services they provide.
Stewart Moving & Storage is proud to serve the men, women, and their families, who work so hard to protect our country and freedoms.  They provide not only services for military families but also those customers that may be relocating either down the street or across the country.
To celebrate the milestone Stewart Moving & Storage has reached in the competitive moving industry, each location will have a birthday party on April 1st. Stewart Moving & Storage plans to have a big party at the Corporate office in Midlothian, VA, on a date to be announced later on.  This corporate party will include their industry partners, executives, as well as the community.

  • “Relaunch Chesterfield” Aims to Reopen Chesterfield Businesses

    What?

Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce, Chesterfield Cabinet and Chesterfield County have united to support a coordinated relaunching of the Chesterfield economy.   Relaunch focuses on issues for businesses and elected officials around the county to consider as reopening plans are made. "Relaunch Chesterfield" is meant to work in conjunction with the Governors’ Covid-19 Business Task Force recommendations as they too begin the work of relaunching Virginia’s economy.

"Relaunch Chesterfield" will be developed in partnership with business leaders across a broad array of industry sectors and organizations around the county, including but not limited to the following sections:

    • Health and Safety First/Internal & External Customers
    • Retail
    • Restaurants
    • Hospitality
    • Arts & Entertainment
    • Healthcare Services
    • Personal Care Service Industry
    • K-12 Education & Childcare and Daycare

"Relaunch Chesterfield" is meant to serve as a start to the conversation for returning more employees and businesses to work, rather than serving as a final, prescriptive set of answers or solutions.

We are currently seeking participants to work and lead in these individual industry workgroups.  Please submit your information to be considered for an interested industry cluster workgroup by clicking here.

    Why?
Businesses are resilient in creating opportunities to thrive in challenging conditions.  Businesses ability to pivot their business model and allow others to learn from that change is important for the greatest number of businesses to relaunch. By joining efforts and bringing businesses and resources together we have the ability to make adjustments quickly and start commerce sooner.

When the Commonwealth is ready to open Virginia, Chesterfield will be ready to open.

    How?
We are looking for 8-10 people for each industry workgroup indicated to develop a framework for success.  Models and examples are already available as a guide from across the Country.  Workgroups using best practices can have the best opportunity for a successful plan.
