Drawing from over 30 years of career school experience, Cenutra College has been part of an organization dedicated to helping men and women to gain the skills and attitudes necessary to succeed. We connect communities with some of the fastest growing career fields in today's marketplace.
Centura first began offering career placement services in 1969. In 1983, the company opened its first school, Electronic Institute of Technology, in Norfolk, Virginia. Over the years, training options and campus locations expanded, and our parent company, Employment Services, Inc., opened its first school in the Greater Richmond area. Called Beta Tech, this campus originated in Petersburg, relocated to the Arboretum building in Richmond and moved again to an expanded facility in North Chesterfield, on Midlothian Turnpike, where it is today. In 2008, the school’s name was changed to Centura College.
Our core programs, which focus on Allied Health & Skilled Trades include:
- Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC)
- Building Maintenance and Repair
- Combination Welding
- Medical Assisting
- Construction Electrician
In addition to our core programs, we offer access to Student Advisors, Tutorial Services, Career Services, Disability Services and an inclusive campus environment for all students. The school also offers professional facilities, knowledgeable instructors, day or evening classes and is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (ACCSC).
We are proud to be among the newest members of the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce and look forward to serving as a valuable community resource.
