    Event Description:

    Join the Chesterfield Chamber for lunch on Wednesday, February 13th for our monthly membership meeting.

    Dr. Edward “Ted” Raspiller, John Tyler Community College President

    Dr. Edward “Ted” Raspiller joined John Tyler Community College in August 2013, becoming its seventh president.

    Dr. Raspiller has nearly three decades of experience in higher education that includes roles in college leadership and administration; teaching; workforce development; fundraising; and counseling. Before coming to Tyler, he served as president of Blinn College’s Brazos County Campuses in Texas. Prior to that, Dr. Raspiller served as the graduate program director of Old Dominion University’s (ODU) Community College Leadership Program, as chair of ODU’s Department of Educational Foundations and Leadership, and as a member of ODU’s faculty.

    He holds a Doctor of Education in Leadership and Educational Policy Studies, Adult Continuing Education and a Master of Science in Education in Adult Continuing Education from Northern Illinois University; a Bachelor of Arts from Governors State University; and an Associate of Arts from College of DuPage.




    Elizabeth Creamer

    Elizabeth Creamer is Vice President for Workforce Development and Credential Attainment, Community College Workforce Alliance (CCWA). CCWA is a partnership of Reynolds and John Tyler Community Colleges. In her role, Creamer drives workforce training and credentialing programs that align with high demand occupations in Central Virginia that employers are challenged to fill. Creamer leads CCWA teams dedicated to industry sector strategies and occupational training for job seekers and incumbent workers.

    Previously, Elizabeth served as the Senior Advisor for Workforce Development Governor Terence R. McAuliffe’s administration where she served as a liaison on workforce policy and programs to four Secretariats, eight state agencies, and 24 state and federal workforce programs.

    Other previous experience includes: Director of Education and Workforce Development for Governor Bob McDonnell’s Administration; Assistant Vice Chancellor of Career Pathways and Workforce Development Programs for the Virginia Community College System; and academic administrative positions at Thomas Nelson and Paul D. Camp Community Colleges.

    Creamer is a member of the Capital and Crater Regions Workforce Development Boards and the Capital Region Adult Education Advisory Committee. She has served as a member of the National Career Pathways Network Board, the Southern Region Education Board’s Career and Technical Education Commission, and the Virginia Board of Workforce Development. She is a two time recipient of the Virginia Community Colleges’ Expanding Workforce Opportunities Award. Elizabeth is also a recipient of the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitation Services Commissioner’s Champion Award. Elizabeth holds a B.A. from Christopher Newport University and a M.A. from Old Dominion University.

     

    Doors open at 11:00 a.m., buffet begins at 11:15 a.m. and the program starts at 11:45 a.m.

    If you have a Prepaid Lunch Ticket, online registration is required to use the ticket.
     If you are not preregistered through our online portal you will be charged the $35 at door cost *if you are experiencing problems with the online registration, please contact the Events Manager at the Chamber office.

    Late Registration - through noon Tuesday, February 12th
    $30/Members - $40/Non-Members

    Registrations received after this time will incur an increased cost of $35/Member or $45/Non-Member.
