Committees
The success of any organization depends solely on the participation of its members. The Chesterfield County Chamber of Commerce has within its structure a number of committees that are set up to accomplish its goals and functions. Following is a brief description of these committees and their established functions. Call the Chamber office to join the committee of your choice. Watch your E-Newsletter for meeting details.
Education Committee
The recently organized Education Committee is the connector between the business community and the public school system. The committee will work to broaden communication between school and business and promote partnerships between education and the world of work.
When: Fourth Monday of the Month, 4:00 p.m.

Events Committee
The Events Committee is responsible for raising non-dues revenues for the Chamber. Responsibilities include all events and fund raisers such as golf tournament, banquet and fall event, etc. except those hosted by the Membership/Ambassadors committee. With the increase in Chamber activities, this Committee needs additional hard-working, fun-loving members.
When: Third Tuesday of the Month, 4:00 pm

Government Relations Committee
The Government Relations Committee is responsible for maintaining relationships with the various governmental departments, elected officials, and agencies to educate them regarding the concerns and issues of the Chamber and its membership, and to establish communications and cooperation with citizens and community groups throughout Chesterfield County. Membership is limited due to space constraints. Please call Chairman Bob Schrum at 804-768-0900 if you are interested in serving on this committee.

Membership Committee/Ambassadors
The Membership/Ambassadors Committee is responsible for Chamber Networking opportunities, delivering new member kits, identifying target areas for membership, hosting breakfast meetings and new member orientations, the Ambassador Program, and new and existing member retention.
When: Held at 4:00 pm at Chamber Night Out location before Chamber Night Out

Professional Development Committee
The Professional Development Committee is responsible for helping to serve the professional development needs of the membership through, without limitation, planning and serving as a conduit for programming aimed at assisting members’ in their respective businesses.
When: Held at 1:05 pm after the Chamber’s monthly luncheon
Where: Meadowbrook Country Club

Wine Festival Committee
The Wine Festival Committee is responsible for planning and advertising the Chamber’s signature event, the annual Celebration of the Vine Wine Festival held during the spring at the Chesterfield County Government Complex.
