Making Money Count, a financial lesson for second graders presented by Franklin Federal Savings Bank under the direction of Michelle Mogel. During the lesson, students learn about setting financial goals, saving, spending, and sharing money. This lesson is developmentally appropriate for second grade students and reinforces second grade math, economics, and civics SOLs.
Principal for a Day, an event organized last fall in partnership with Chesterfield County Public Schools. The purpose of this initiative was to connect Chesterfield's business community with the K-12 public school system through one-on-one shadowing experiences with Principals of Chesterfield Schools. As we look toward a new school year the partners of this program are proud to share a successful model stemming from this joint venture which is one that forged between The Chesterfield Technical Center (CTC) and ECPI College of Technology.
